Practices and Games will be based on the school district's gym availability. Practices (1.5 hours) and games will start no earlier than 5:30 pm and will end no later than 8:30 pm. 

*Rochester, NY* The Rochester Youth Volleyball League began September 2012 with the goal of providing a volleyball opportunity for the first time to girls’ grades 3rd-6th in the Rochester area. In its first season, the league was made up of three area schools and 70 members. Since then the league has grown to serve over 400 athletes and includes 14participating districts.

The league operates as a "pre-modified" program. This means all participants sign up under their school districts program and will practice at a location in their school district. The league runs for 8 weeks and will includes team practices, home and away games and one year-end tournament. Each participating school district will look to field at a minimum one 3rd-4th grade team and one 5th-6th grade team. Many programs are able to sponsor more than one team per age group and this is based on gym space and sign up numbers.

VolleyFX Volleyball Club (VFX), the largest girls volleyball organization in the Rochester area, founded and continues to run the Rochester Youth Volleyball League. VFX is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization that is member organization of USA Volleyball. Although the league runs a program out of each school district, your school district is partnering with VFX to make it possible for us to run this league. Each team would not be considered a “school sponsored sport” as this starts in the 7th grade with modified programs.

September 5, 2023:

• Coaches Meeting - Pinnacle Athletic Campus in Victor
  • We will host an on-sight parent volunteer coaches meeting/clinic at 6pm.
  • We would love all parent-coaches to be in attendance to go over information for the year.
    • At-Least 1 coach/school district should be in attendance to pick up balls.
  • A summary document will be sent out after the fact with a guide to what was covered in the meeting.

September 13, 2023:

• First practice for most districts.

September 17, 2023: 

• Last day to register for the RYVL season

October 9, 2023: 

• No Practice due to School Holiday

November 4, 2023:

• Year-End Tournament – Pinnacle Athletic Campus
